The conversation over state debt tends to focus on the absolute amounts owed, which are themselves fake figures, especially in the case of the UK which absolutely should add state pension liabilities and should it be acknowledged as at 200% of GDP+. This, whilst not great, isn’t catastrophic if the yield on this is below inflation and you can keep it there for a decent amount of time. You can just sit back and let this inflation chip away at it and aim for economic growth that also outstrips it. The real problem comes when the cost of servicing this debt starts to go up. And if you are especially retarded, what you do is issue tons of this debt linked to inflation so you get really hammered when debt servicing costs begin to rise. And if you have the IQ of a glass of water (like the UK’s Oxbridge “elites”) what you also do is indemnify QE losses so that you have to also pay for interest on floating reserves making it prohibitive to raise rates to keep inflation down.
It turns out that this issue of rising debt servicing hasn’t just smacked the United Kingdom of Oxbridge Retards in the face. The US is also being hit hard. On this I feel sorry for Trump, because it obviously wasn’t his fault, this went off under Biden’s administration, but I don’t even thinks it was his fault. If the following graphs are accurate, it looks like the “West” is pretty well and truly screwed.
Paying interest on debt is going to be the main expense for the US pretty soon. As in, within 5 years soon. Add into this that the US has gone for broke and banked it all on fiscal stimulus to get the engine running again, a stimulus which has little chance of success, then a lot of weirdness begins to make sense. The Genius Act to try and force money launders and people traffickers to fund treasury purchases, the tariffs to try and draw money into the US, letting chips be sold to China for a cut of the revenue - it all looks like a desperate bankrupt begging for loans from their kids whilst ripping apart the sofa for spare change.
This brings us to the Ukraine situation because I am finding the commentary around it to be pretty unhinged. I recently saw some expert making some prediction that Russia was in trouble because their expenditure on military expenses is somewhere around $150 billion a year. The argument was that this could only go on for a further five years before Russia burns through its cash reserves.
OK. Really?
The UK is currently past that in spending on debt interest. Now. Not in five years. Now. And it is almost certain to get worse. The US is hurtling to $1 trillion. Trillion. With a “T”. On debt interest. This is being paid with…more debt.
So Russia, which is in an “unsustainable position” spending its cash on actual fucking industries that have value and purpose but the West which is currently servicing debt interest with more expensive debt so that we can YOLO into Fart Coin and Cum Rockets and drive Tesla and Palantir stock to the Moon for no discernable reason-whilst building nothing of value is doing…great? That sounds pretty stupid to me, but then again, I didn’t get an Oxbridge PPE degree, so I’m no genius.
Given all this, I am struggling to see why the Russians would bend an inch in the upcoming talks. In fact, I don’t see how they wouldn’t just put Trump over a barrel and go to town. They can drag this out for five years, easy. They haven’t even called a mobilization. Within five years, barring a miracle, one Western state or more will go bankrupt and it will cascade. The future is looking pretty fucking rosy for the Russians right about now. Its look really bad for the West, especially Europe and the UK which are run by psychos.
This brings us to the UK, because it seems clear to that they are the most likely candidate to soil their pants publicly. In fact, I have argued before, and hold to this, that if Farage were of the caliber of your Lenin, or Mao, he would have just taken over by now. But he isn’t and he doesn’t have any Bolsheviks by his side. Instead, he is, as many on the right correctly diagnose, pretty weak tea. He is a liberal. An angry one that can see the damage being done, but he can’t steal himself to face what the remedies are. I don’t doubt he is having his life threatened, too. The recent talk about his “health” smacks of veiled threats from the UK security services. I would wager that the presence of that Yusuf character is part and parcel of this as is the absurd Islam nonsense. The idea that Reform would need to pander to Muslims, or that it would be a democratic necessity going forward is depraved. As is Yusuf trying to put down opposition to the Niqab and Muslim dress. The niqab and issues like it are zero sum. There is no middle ground here. Either you are taking British people’s wishes into account at the expense of Muslims’, or you are taking the Muslims' into account at the expense of the British. The UK state’s answer is always that the British must take it up the arse, forcefully, and literally as per the rape clans.
Now this all confuses me because the logic behind this is going be something along the lines of “British nationalism in any form will destabilize the state and put us at geopolitical risk. The state and security services are working to secure our position for the benefit of British people” or something blah, blah, blah. But, if you stop and think about this, this makes no sense.
Lets say, worst case scenario, Russian tanks race down the continent and Putin manages to conquer the UK. OK, what’s the worst that he would then do? Let his troops steal at will? Let his troops run around groping and raping women? Import foreign populations to replace the local population, disenfranchise, and then make the local population foot the bill? Take away our freedom of speech? Take away our right to protest? Tax us into poverty?
Are you seeing where I am going with this?
I do not, in the slightest, expect Reform to be of any use what-so-ever. They won’t have the party discipline to push through real changes, and what changes they would push through will be a mess and will be torn apart by the civil service. The idea a bunch of Love Island backbenchers would be counted on to push through real reform is ludicrous. As is the idea that parliamentary sovereignty can be invoked like a magic wand. Unless you have an informal force, or the military/ police to enact what you decree, you might as well be farting the tune to God Save the King at PMQs. It would be about as effective.
At the very first sitting of parliament, as I have said elsewhere, you would need to remove a long list of people in the civil services, media, police, army and every other branch of government and just cut entire departments in one swoop and have a third party enforce that.
A coup.
You would need a democratically mandated coup.
Could Farage and Reform do this? Technically, yes. Do they have the balls and organization to do it. No. Nope. no. no chance. nope. no way. no. But that’s fine. It doesn’t mean the state wins or that things can be dragged to normal. It just means they are the boot loader for a serious set of actors who will do this, because it needs to be done. The British people are in the state’s suicide python grip and its a fight to the death. As the financial situation keeps spinning into absurdity, more elements of the “elite” will start peeling off as they see the writing on the wall.
Farage is Flaccid. He is gaunt, piss-weak and spineless…and a traitor. At least you know Starmer is a cunt and a communist.
I think all the major world governments are in serious financial trouble for the reasons you are describing - this combines with demographics to paint a messy-looking future.
